I’ve noticed that if I unlock the truck but then don’t interact with the doors, it will lock itself again after a short period.
Also, on my truck because I’ve heard otherwise, if I approach the rear cargo door grab the handle and push the door mechanism my cargo door unlocks and opens. There’s no sensors for keyless lock/unlock on the cargo door so it obviously senses that the key is close and unlocks it. By this logic it knows the proximity of the key and there would be no reason walk away lock couldn’t be implemented.
Like I’ve foolishly (It seems) mentioned before in regard to other features, hopefully a software update will enable this.
My vehicle is a Canadian Market ‘25 Factory Ordered G63 with the AMG Performance Package and just about every option except the full leather interior package, Cherry Wood cargo floor and the off-road pack obviously because I opted for the performance pack instead.

not sure about proximity but I am happy with it as is given the keyless door is already a massive improvement.
