why my mb coupe may be better than my bmw
i wish i was having the same luck at my dealership....maybe i should just move the US and buy my benz there.
We deal exclusively with the Pompano Autohaus, fantastic dealership.
If you have had problems when you brought the car in, talk to the Service Manager, he is very helpful and will resolve whatever the problem was.
Vista BMW is the BMW dealership I was talking about. The nasty tile floors in the dealership were extremely dirty, the entire place was just run down, not one of the salesmen had a suit on, they all wore shorts and t-shirts, and the way they carried themselves was very unprofessional. One of the salesmen said to me as soon as I walked in... "Want to trade your crap mercedes in for a ultimate driving maching M5?" Can you get anymore unprofessional then that. Bear in mind, I was driving the S600 that day.
They now have 2001 or 2002 E 320 loaners for their customers only, instead of Suzuki upgrades. Their service is the worst and the best. When the service manager gets cranked in, it's the best.

Now Vista BMW in Pompano,-- I have to check out. I'll ask the salesman in shorts to get me a cappucino...
Braman BMW in Miami is first class. Coffee and doughnuts in lounge and limo service.
...I could go on, however the best car I've owned is the CLK55, bought @ AUTOHAUS, Pompano Beach.
Their carwash is brushless! Gourmet coffees in lounge & CNBC showing the markets tanking...what a country! Life is great!!
Last year I shopped for a 2001 SL500 at ALL FIVE S. Florida dealerships. Autohaus had by far the best selection and best price.
They now have 2001 or 2002 E 320 loaners for their customers only, instead of Suzuki upgrades. Their service is the worst and the best. When the service manager gets cranked in, it's the best.
when did autohaus start giving the E320 Loner cars. i think thats great thats they finally give a mercedes instead of the cheap crappy cars they always give. even if u upgrade it still is crap.
...otherwise, you will have to settle for whatever MB Ft. Lauderdale offers...
if i remember correctly, kj is from canada and they don't get service included - which sucks. i guess he doesn't know that in the US, service is included for 4 years/50k miles. bmw's is 3 years/36k miles. as both manufacturers recommend services at every 10k or so, that roughly equals 5 and 3 trips respectively.
Cheers, BT
I've always had EXCELLENT service from Park Place in Dallas. They give out MBs (E320 and recently C240s
) or (if you didn't buy from them) Toyota Camrys (still pretty nice!)From the first time I entered the dealership they have always been courtous, polite, upfront, and accomodating.
When we were looking at buying our ML we also looked at the X5 (which had just come out). The car salesmen were sleazy, (typically young and proud they were selling "ultimate driving machines" but didn't know squat about the cars). My wife and even our sons (who came to check out back seat sizes) were turned off by the whole episode.
Even if we had liked the X5 (too small interior, too high cost, and believe it or not I did not like the twitchy "sports-car" handling) we would not have bought it from that dealership.
On the other hand, Park Place bent over backward to get us the car we wanted in the least amount of time. The salesman was informed and polite. He did not pressure us. He actually talked me out of a 430 after discussing it with my wife!
The repair bays look like they could do surgery in there. They will drive to your location and perform the "A" service (no charge) if you'd like.
I know different dealerships have different levels of service, but there are no complaints here!

i wonder if i would be able to talk them into giving me an E loner when i bring my car in for service. i know one of the service managers always tried helping me out there because autohaus always did a terrible job when i brought cars in for service there. and they were purchased there at that time also.
I just called my MB Service Advisor @ AUTOHAUS re E-320 loaner cars. The E loaner system is indeed operational!!
CAVEAT:
It's only for AUTOHAUS customers, who bought their cars there. Only by appointment, I was told.
Why don't you call your service advisor, make an appointment, and say by the way: YOU OWE ME ONE, remember---? I understand that you have E loaners, how about---. You might get lucky.
