Roadside Assistance question!

Okay, my warranty expired a couple days ago, I'm at 50,100 at just under 3 years. I'm at work and I have a flat tire on my car, what the HELL else is new?!?!? I would attempt it myself but I just had oral surgery and I can hardly lift a pencil. I'm assuming when my warranty expired, so did my RA, correct? I guess I should have asked more questions, or maybe listened more when I actually bought the car I don't remember if they ask the mileage on the car when you call in for RA. I would call my dealer but they are fairly worthless SOBs.

The wrench and the "i" button only work if you are a subscriber to Tele-Aid. If you are not, then you have to contact them the old fashion way; telephone or cell phone.

It's a good idea to program this number into your cell phone so you don't have to remember it.

The number is in the manual too, if you have the manual in the car you have the RA number.

AAA refused to help

RA saved my butt.

I was getting something out of the trunk and just as I slammed it closed I knew I had left the keys sitting on the trunk floor . The doors were locked and my wife's keys were in her bag, also in the trunk.

Long story short, AAA refused to come out once I told them I had a 2002 MB. They said that they would have to literally break into the trunk and would not try even if I authorized them to. According to them MB cars trunks are one of the most difficult to break into and they would likely damage the car.

Finally called MB and they sent somebody out. Even he had his doubts about helping me out and I had an early flight to Chicago the next day!! Getting into the car was pretty easy. After what seemed forever he finally fished out my keys from the small hole under the first aid kit.

I recommend putting valuables in the trunk. And oh yeah, keep the keys in your pocket .

In my C240 it is on a sticker on the inside of the vanity mirror door on the driver's side. Your location may vary.

I removed that sticker (and others) on the first day.
