I bought my car almost 2 years ago and I assumed that the first year of teleaid was free. You're only allowed 30 minutes the first year correct? I also assumed that it automatically canceled after the initial year. I tried to use the teleaid for directions one time and the speaker person said that the directions would cost $3 a minute. Am I paying for teleaid now? If so, what would the $3 charge be for?

Tele Aid will automatically renew after the 1st free year unless you cancel it.

I do know that even if you are paying for tele-aid... there are still some services that cost per minute even with the yearly fees... doing things like looking up movie times is an extra charge that I know of....

Just got my car a month ago. Didn't know how to hang up in case I accidentally pushed the "i" button. So I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to put my free tele-aid to use. I push the "i" button and ask the operator how to hang up a call. He says, "uh... you should look in your manual."

Now am I being too critical or is the tele-aid operator supposed to know this kind of stuff?

The tele-aid person should of answered that questikon, but then again maybe you delt with a jerk. Everytime that I have called they have been more than helpful.

It is a feature that you hardly use but it does come in handy when you need it. I think it's pretty cool

i asked the operator the same thing when i called just to test it out.. and she told me that I didn't have to do anythign and it would do it on its own... so i guess it depends on who you get..
