Finally got to a computer with a good connection and watched this video. Very nice.
I took delivery of my E55 in Germany in May, 2001. I put over 1800 miles on it while there, and also got some time on the Nurburgring - the full 22 km circuit. But to do the all AMG event would be even more incredible. Probably good value, even at 1500 Euros.
Maybe when I buy my next AMG, I will again be able to do Euro delivery, and coordinate it with this event.

How did you arrange Euro delivery for your AMG?
I had sought to do this with my CLK but was told I couldn't do it.
I really want to it with the SL 55...did you arrange it through your dealer or did you have to pull some other strings?

p.s. don't you just love those coaches standing right at the curbs pointing to the apex...pretty ballsy!

Alfonso, that two tone leather looks great. Too bad it doesn't extend to the door panels and whatnot on the C32.

Hey jco-amg - An SL55? I am looking forward to seeing one of these for the first time. I am already seeing quite a few of the SL 500 (I think that's the designation).
I was also told that the AMG models are NOT available for Euro Delivery. I found another dealership that arranged it for me. While on the Delta flight from Atlanta to Stuttgart, a Mercedes salesman was seated across the aisle from me, and he confirmed this information. He was impressed that my salesman was able to pull it off.
Driving the E55 on the 'Ring was cool, but it sure would have been better if my car had at least the Euro spec suspension. And having an instructor along would be extremely valuable.
