Anything new on the Mercedes Pickup Truck?
I had heard multiple rumors that there was a Mercedes-Benz pickup truck possibly coming out in the future....does anyone have any photos? When is the planned release date?

It wouldn't work I think for a few reasons.
The 'rich class' who would be able to afford this wouldn't appear in a PickUp truck. The G500, sure, but anything else, no.
The ones that would drive a pickup truck wouldn't look at it because of the options it wouldn't have.
Why buy anything other than a Ford?

Wow, I love that pickup! it's got an el' camino look to it, do you know what it's called? What year is it?
As for the pickup thing; yeah, I see what you mean, but at the same time, if they made it an 6-8 foot bed, diesel and gas models, and high-quality (and here's the hard part); decently priced, I think it would do well, but the chances of all that happening are slim to none..... :T

I still have my doubts on the popularity of luxury pickup trucks (kind of an oxymoron). When Lincoln released their version of the F150, it did not do too well. Same with Caddie. Now Lincoln is out to try again, and Caddie is only carrying their Avalanch version (as far as I know) which I don't see too much. With Nissan, Honda, and Toyota making large pickups now, this may end up doing something for the luxury brands. But I wouldn't hold my breath...

Yes, you do have a point, and shortly after I looked at the pictures, I decided to go to the pictures origin, and found out exactly what you said; that's it's not factory made....bummer. I did see once, however, a 1950s Mercedes pickup.

SEC!!! Momma NOOOOOOO0000000000ooooooooooooooo.....
I can't believe somebody did that.
They're are also some of the last gen e class pick up conversions, should be pictures somewhere, I think a company in the states does them. There's a picture with a couple of them in front of their building.

Exactly, but I think the positives about owning something rare and different greatly out weight the negatives, as long as it's within good taste and not too crazy, E class truck would be cool, especially a diesel model, I'd hate to see a Maybach pick up though.
