Found this new magazine earlier this morning on another forum. 1st copy of the magazine is on-line with a few good articles, one on Brandon (Kleemann USA). Magazine looks pretty good.

Uggh. So pretentious, when did the '80's come back in style? Even the name has a goofy pretentiousness to it. Benzo? LOL.
I don't see a lot of "How to Change the Brake Pads in Your C230 Hatchback" being printed in that mag! Its obviously not geared to the MB auto enthusiast, but to the MB status seekers.
Does the world need another Robb Report??
(That being said, it is well-written and edited.)

yeah..I feel stupid too - i read some of the Press Releases - ex COO of careerbay.com sees a need in a "nichified" market - Looks like everything else the Dot Bomb's do - all fancy web site, PR and no substance.

Out Of Control!!
As far as MB magazines, though, beggars can't be choosers. Really wish there was the # of mags to rival BMW & VW.
Did anyone notice that fat (meaning thick, not "phat") Kleemann steering wheel in that pic of the Kleemann car? mmmmm...must have one.

Tommy, I just got my first issue of Mercedes Enthusiast magazine (along with 10 back issues ) and I must say, it is a fantastic magazine which is just as good as the current BMW and VW mags.

well, i went to a couple of bookstores and had no luck...
from their news about the partnership between mbworld and benzo, "Immediate plans for the partnership include subscription promotion and content sharing with long-term mutual goals of event co-sponsorship, coordinated online/offline advertising to provide advertisers optimum exposure to the enthusiast community, and possible licensing of the BENZO brand to EvoSport."
keywords = subscription promotion... what is it?

I saw the magazine a while back at a friends shop. I read it cover to cover three times trying to figure out what it was about it that made this good looking magazine so frustrating to read. The first and most outstanding thing that I really can't stand is the "Donna Carlyle" Benzo Tech section. It really belongs in Super Street or Low Rider magazine. It looks like someone is trying too hard to be cool or spunky. Put her in some pictures as a model or calm down her some. Second I realized that some of the attempts at comedy found in the articles are really weird. All car magazines are guilty of this kind of thing though. Car enthusiast banter is usually kind of goofy. Also, the lay out is great and very exciting, but the "words" are written on a strange level. If you knew nothing about cars you would be lost. If you had a great knowledge of cars you would be frustrated. Finally I realized that there is too much slang and "low class" word use. It looks like a classy mag until you read it, and you find out some of it is written in the language troubled inner city youth (that is a little exaduratied on my part I know). I have many other points, but they are just I just wanted to get the biges ones out there for whoever to read.
Don't think I dont like it though. I am very excited about it, and I ordered a subscription. I think it is a wonderfull starting point, but these writers simply need some polish. Maybe the writers and editors should buy season tickets to the symphony or a membership at an art museum, read all sorts of art criticism, and base their writing on the common principles of art observation. MB cars are truly a work of art, and desirve to be treated accordingly. It is a really cool magazine though.
Just my thoughts.

well, impo, the magazine is laid out very poorly. looks like a college paper i used to work for - that is, kind of amateurish. there is a definite lack of cohesive design.
it has potential, but not enough for me to subscribe.
