Those SLs are beautiful. MB Manhattan shows them at their Park Ave showroom from time to time. I think the last time was during the SLR launch a few years ago. A gullwing on Park Avenue. It does not get any better than that.

I am on the hunt for the 'perfect' one of these.
Passed on one in Germany at the last moment about 5 months ago. Just lost getting a really nice one about two weeks ago that was in Connecticut.
What a historically great car. I've never driven one - so we'll see how it actually does as a 'driver' - but I sure am going to try one on for size.

I hear they dont drive well. And the engine heat while stopped is unbearable in the cabin. But you have to admit when the car was built most cars struggled to hit 90 or 100 mph while this car could do 150 mph+ .

How do you guys take such great pictures? Do you use a tripod? I tried to take some pictures of my gullwing today and it turned out like crap (well I guess it didn't help that it was during dusk) but still...
