Ungrateful Members??

Am I the only one this seems t happen to? Time and time again I take time and effort out to try to answer someone’s question or problem. Some of these answers take a good deal of effort to research and compose. These replies may or may not be the resolution that the poster was looking for. But that is not the point. The point is that whether the reply is via email or public posting a simple acknowledgment or thank you would do wonders. I know there are many people here contributing much more than I will ever be able to. I don’t know if they have the same concern as myself. I guess I’m just looking for good manners. I like some input on this if anyone has any.
Thanks.
Glenn

I also have a big problem with this. Sometimes the person will go out of their way to try and explains thing, and because it gets complicated it doesn't seem as if the reply has anything to do with the original post....even though it has every bit to do with it.

And this is where the name calling begins.

I have also taken a lot of time to research some topics for which I didn't have an immediate answer. In my limited experience, the people who bothered to follow their thread-starter thanked me. If you are not receiving the accolades that you think you deserve, then simply stop doing the painstaking research. In my opinion, you and I are both old-fashioned. The reality of it is, that good manners are practically a thing of the past.

Musikmann, you are one of the members who is usually quick with a compliment (rather than quick with an insult).

[I am both, perhaps ]

Keep flying the flag of good manners and civil debate.
