Can U Figure Out This License/Number Plate ?

I'm thinking of getting this Number Plate but if people find it too hard to figure out what it says I don't feel there's much point.
Let me know what you think it says/means
I'm from the UK so its a UK plate

It's meant to say DUNCS
My proper name is Duncan so Dunc is a shorter term for that.

I suppose now that you now my proper name it makes a bit more sense

Anyway D17 NCS is £500
and ---- D11 NCS is £14500

My idea was for the 1 & 7 to make the U up

Why does "D11 NCS" cost 14,500 ?

Because in the UK you have to pay big money to have an exclusive license plate like that which is the closest thing to a name.

E.g. A plate which most clearly represents a common name will cost the most but other plates which dont do it as well cost less.

Damn... In many US states you can simpy order a plate with your name, no numbers etc., providing it's not taken already by someone else and the number of letters doesn't exceed certain limit. Costs vary from state to state, here in Virginia it's $10 or so, 7 letters max... Can't believe they made your life so complicated in England....

I know, but why is D11 NCS so expensive? is it because it spells "DINCS"? What is DINCS anyways?

In HK we can spend anywhere from 100USD to 1.7 million USD on a custom plate.

D11NCS is so expensive because it is the closest thing to DUNCS you could get on a plate here. It is simply not possible to get DUNCS as is. And because of the large number of Irish people named Duncan it is most definately a very sought after plate, so the owner wants to make some cash of it.

For 1.7 million, I could think of a lot of other things the license plate should come with.

dont forget that you can only have standard numbers and letters now due to the recent change in law. I can only make dancs out of the plate anyway.

If you start looking at the Irish plates thats available.

The cheapest "MBZ" plate I can find is -; MBZ 8735 for £350
Or a MBZ with 3 numbers after it is over £1000

Or with my Initials being D.K I could get a "DKZ" plate so its like DK's

DKZ 3826 £100
DKZ 284 £600
DKZ 65 £690
DKZ 150 £900
DKZ 70 £975

In 1996 it was the year of the dog, and there was an auction that sold a plate with only the number 9 on it. 9 in chinese sounds like the word for dog, so it was considered lucky.

check this out for some crazy prices on current plates for sale here.
