How expensive in your insurance for your MB?
This question is aimed mainly at younger people out of curiosity. Although anyone can feel free to answer. The reason I am asking this is because here in England it would cost me 5000 pounds to get insured on my dads car as a named driver and on third party fire and theft, which I personally think is ridiculous.
Also the other day I got a quote for 14000 to get insured on a Honda Civic Type R under my sisters name which is more then the car would cost if I bought it from Europe.
Thank You

Those numbers sound retarded, something is wrong with this picture.
I'm 23, male, with 6 years perfect driving record (minor accident and huge speeding ticket 7 years ago), 3 years insured continually, and mine was $2500 CAD, with a 15% discount for multiple vehicles came to just over $2100 CAD, which is a fairly good deal, but there are even better deals, but the service with those companies wasn't worth the savings. I could've gotten $1900 CAD.
In comparison, my roommate is paying $4000 CAD to drive a 1990 Mustang (KBB value $800 CAD, paid $2000 CAD... his insurance is twice as much as the car! stupid!) cause his driving record is horrible.

Here's my situation
I'm 25 but 24 when I took out the insurance,
I have 5 years No Claims Bonus,
Live in Liverpool - UK,
Car parked on drive way(off the road) over night,
For Fully Comprehensive Cover
I was paying £460 per year on a 98(R) Rover 414i
I now pay £710 per year on a 99(T) Mercedes C200 Sport Auto, Which i consider to be very reasonable. Thats with
AXA ,Get a quote online from there. Or try Tesco for online quote they are also very reasonable

I'm 22 with 5 years driving experiences. I got one point on my record for a speeding ticket (paid for traffic school but failed to attend due to my laziness). Anyway, I pay 2200 annually for my insurance.

I am the primary driver on my 2002 c230 with my dad as secondary, fu;; coverage, $1600/yr. Not bad compared to the $7500/yr that AAA quoted me for my altima (when i still had it).

For my Benz & my truck, it's about $2000/annually with Nationwide in NY, but those are registered to my dad and factored in with other vehicles. He is the actual owner of the vehicles, btw. Age plays a huge factor in insurance. My 58-year-old father routinely gets tickets, has had multiple suspensions for speeding, and yet his insurance rates are lower than mine would be. 25-year-old female BenzE here with the naughty NJ record is in the doghouse, to be sure. Do you know that in NJ, the fines are actually higher for driving on a suspended license than for either drunk driving, and depending on how many tickets you get, higher than vehicular manslaughter?

I am currently insured with Tesco and I pay 690 pounds to be insured on a 1.8 peugeot 306. I want the next car I get to be a mercedes but the only one that I can get reasonably priced insurance for is an A-class, even though I have the money for a C-class coupe. But saying all this I am only 18 and have only been driving for a year but it should still be more reasonable.

For an A-class the insurance would be about 1100 pounds which is about $1710.
And for the C-class coupe it would cost 2150 pounds which is about $3340, which to me is way too much as that is only for a year and under my sisters name which would mean that I dont even build up a no claims discount for myself.

If you really want a Mercedes get the A Class for now and insure it in your own name or maybe get a bit older Mercedes for now. Once you have a couple of years No Claims Bonus behind you, the premiums soon fall.

I pay around $800 for full coverage, but it helps that I am elderly (30's).

As a matter of fact i just wrote a check for 6 months coverage on my c43 it was $1115.50 . South Carolina insurance sucks!!! If i was in my homeland of massachusetts it would be about 1200 for the year. Im 27 and have one ticket for speeding in almost 12 years of driving. Thanks for the big break Progressive!!

I am getting raped....
$3500 a year for 2003 C320.
I am 23 well.. practically 24 now, and no accidents or ticket history. New Jersey sure does suck for insurance.

Lana, check into NJ Manufacturers. If they take you, that will save you a good 50%.
They used to be offered only to employees of certain companies, but maybe they've opened up bit.
I laugh at Prudential now.

Keep the good driving record and when you hit 25, you'll see your premiums drop like a rock ........ normally
BTW, have you gotten a quote from Allstate. I find them to be more reasonable premium-wise than State Farm. Just a thought ...
