My custom built 6.3 AMG Gulf Racecar *Photos*!
Purchased off of Mark Passarelli about 4 years ago. When I got it it was a wreck. All eaten up by the texas sun. So instead of restoring it I thought I'd turn it into a racecar. It was previously owned by John Tower senator of texas. I think Mark Passarelli was considering restoring it but didn't have any faith in it. Seeing that he restores Gullwings now.
We fabricated custom ground effects. Filled all the holes where the side mouldings were. Stripped the interior and all sound deadening. Cut out all door panels and replaced them with light weight aluminum panels. Front doors power window regulators were replaced with manual ones, rear windows are fixed up. Custom made grille. Took off the bumpers. Hella running lights. Custom ram air intake through the driver side headlight. Momo racing seats. Sabelt 4-Point Harnesses. Light Weight AMG Five Spoke Rims. 15 Gallon RCI Racing Fuel Cell embedded in the trunk. Battery Relocated to trunk for better weight balance. Custom Hood Pins. Flowmaster custom exhaust with Bessani X-Pipe. Auto Meter 5" Tachometer. Cut out original heavy dash board and replace with a custom made aluminum dash. A/C removed. Custom Gulf Racing Paint Scheme. All of this was done right out of my garage by the hands of me and my dad. We were hoping to make a one of a kind car, one for the history books. And that's my 543whp 1994 RX7 right next to it.

Quite a unique creation, to say the least. It's awesome that the 1968 6.3 AMG Racecar was your inspiration
Curious as to why you used what look like R129 SL or W208 CLK wheels here?
Btw, that W126 in the background looks bada$$

The dash wasn't missing. It was completely dried up like a raisin. Along with the rest of the interior. I didn't have $20,000 to restore the whole interior. Besides, racecars don't have much of an interior. You must not be much of a hot rodder. The car is on eBay now and it's tastefully modified. Here's the eBay link,
