any ever screw with your benz?
i've had 3 bad incidents where some a**holes at my school stole my wheel caps (where you put the air in), got keyed ( i had it repainted), and they tried to rip my hood ornament off
have any of you ever had your car messed with, if so what did you do about it ?

Gotta get used to knowing what car to drive where.
1 week after getting my new 2001 E320 in August, I had the paint keyed in a restaurant parking lot. I think that was just plain bad luck.
In general, my daily planning (actually done almost subconciously) is figuring out where I'm going to be that day, and driving the appropriate car. Most of the places I go are ok, but if I think there's a questionable neighborhood I could end up parking, I'll drive something other than my new Benzs like a mid-90s Camry or the Plymouth minivan.

I have had over 12 cars in the last 10 years and I've had them stolen, keyed and hit and recently had one rolled down a hill by a valet. I agree with the previous response I have a honda and I drive that to places I won't drive my benz but it doesn't really matter a person will do what they want with your car just because you have one and they don't it could be a rusty old domestic car and they'll mess with it if they want to. I look at it as just luck. Oh well that's why I have a honda and a benz.

I tend to try not to worry to much. If I have to park in a questionable area I tend to take my '73 230/6, its not really worth much (bit of a nail really) and I can repair and paint the thing cheaply.
The only time it bothered me was when a Taxi hit me and didn't stop. It didn't do any damage to my car but happily the taxi lost a door splash panel, most of its rear bumper and quite alot of paint. The annoying thing was that when I reported it to the police they said they could'nt do anything as I never managed to get the full registration plate and would'nt be able to trace the car? If the name of the Taxi firm, most of the rear bumper (with snaped registration plate attached), part of the door and colour of the paint was too hard to trace then I hate to think how they would cope with a serious crime!

YES!!!
I was visiting a friend at work (dancer, hehe) and some dip**** was mouthing off and got kicked out. So while leaving the establishment he stole MY hood star. Not just a pull and run, NO! He pulled up and spun it in a circle, gouging my paint. And then the little f*cker spit on MY window. I think he probably thought that my car belonged to someone inside, because I get rockstar parking there or something.

havent had it in a while
A campus is not a good place to own a Benz. On drunk nights out, people get really stupid and they seem to target those items that seem to stand out. Cars are quick victims since the cars are usually in parking lots that not monitored. neighborhoods also play a part but, I go to what would be considered high risk neighborhoods with my car all the time, and dont have those problems. I seem to have more problems like keying and vandalism in upper income neighborhoods than in "the hood". Now I would not leave my car unattended recently when I went to a trailer park near Pittsburg... long story, dont ask.
