Finally getting a used 202 C230K, 3 choices, need some advice thanks.
Alrighty, after months of looking at new and used cars, my dad and I finally decided to spring for a used C230K w/ sport package. (Gotta have the sport package, I love the carbonfibre interior and white faced gauges. otherwise, i wouldn't have even looked at the c230K's.) I'm located at UC Riverside right now and there are 3 C230K's that i'm deciding on. At the Walters Mercedes-Center here in Riverside, there are 3 choices for me.
1. 1999 C230Kompressor with SPORT package that 39,000 miles on the clock. Price is $24,000. (NOT STARMARKED)
2. 1999 C230 Kompressor with SPORT package that has 41,000 miles on the clock for $23,000. (STARMARKED)
3. 2000 C230 Kompressor Special Edition with SPORT package with Two toned leather interior, touchshift and teleaid. (really nice) but the bad thing about this one is that it has 59,000 miles on the clock already, but the cost is only $22,900. (STARMARKED)
Used cars in So Cal are cheaper then they are in NOrcal, and i bet with a bit of dealing, i can get these cars for below the sticker price. Any suggestions on which one to get? I really like the MY2000 one cuz it's the last model year and has the sport and two toned interior, but i'm worried that it alreayd has so many miles on it.

A new 2003 C-Sports Coupe costs only $25,670 - why pay $20,000 for a 3-year old car?
Good choice. The front looks like the new CLK!

I agree with karl k, why buy used? Pick up a new one, full 4yr/50,000 mile coverage and it will be brand new. Also, MB is dealing on ALL c-classes so if your patient enough and hard nosed you'll be able to work a great deal.

I would get the 2000 special edition car. I love the two-tone interior with the chrome door sills. I would buy one of those over my 203 coupe.

Have you actually driven the W202 C230 Kompressor Sedans? It is approximately 2-3x as loud as a 2003 C240, not nearly as comfy, and doesn't have as many features. The only plus is it is a little quicker. I've driven the car a number of times and each time I dislike it a little bit more, noise is just plain tiring.
On the other hand, if you like it go for it. Although I don't understand why you wouldn't consider a C230 sports coupe or the C230 sports sedan which was just introduced for around $28,000. Just don't sell yourself short.

yeah, i agree, 59,000 miles is a tad bit high, but if the dealer is willing to sell for 20,000$, then my parents will spring for it. The problem is...with the C230K Coupe, with all the options I want, will cost $36,000. I don't mind the loud whiny supercharger, I'm a crazy college student!!
But god damn, you gotta dig the two toned interior, it's the stuff dreams are made of.

If your going to buy a used car, go to www.kbb.com take the value you get and minus approximately $2,000. This is what a used car dealer would offer you if you were trying to sell the car to them. I tried it with a truck I had and it is accurate, that's how much they offered me. Do it for yourself to see what you could buy the car for.
