I visited RENNtech today
Today I went with my father to RENNtech. All I can say is... I have never seen so many sweet cars in 1 place. They had this custom SL that was 650 hp, and they have a E55 that was 450 hp. They also had a ton of other cars including a 425 hp C32. I got to meet the world famous hartmet fehyl to . They treated us like royalty... although I think this is mainly because they saw my father roll up in a brand new S600, haha. My father is getting a ton of extra burl wood put into his car, he is getting the COMAND converted so it can also play DVD's, and he is getting tv screens put into the head rests on the seats. My father is also getting the S63 conversion kit through RENNtech. My dad will actually own an S63, because it will have the EXACT same parts that the S63 has, all genuine AMG and Mercedes parts that renntech gets from germany directly. It will be about 450 hp. Talk about a beast.
As for me, when I get me '03 C32 I will be getting everything RENNtech offers for it.
Although there are many other tuners out there, I have to say RENNtech is by far the most professional and after seeing some of the cars they had there... all I have to say is, there is nothing like a RENNtech Mercedes.

Great report accord!
Although i can't imagine how all that burlwood, screen tv and S63 converision will cost?? Any ideas?? The price on those sounds like it's a cost of another regular car eh??

I think it's going to be about 10 to 15 grand for all the wood, dvd players in the head rests, etc.. The S63 conversion costs about 35-40 grand. As for the body kit for the S600, they are getting pictures of every type of body kit available for the S class and they will fax them to my father so he can decide, although the body kit will probably be the cheapest, lol.
Personally, I wouldn't pay 35 grand for the S63 conversion kit, but my dad really wants it lol.

Oh also, at RENNTech, Hartmet Feyhl took us on a tour of the entire facility, we got to see the machine shop. There were six 12 block engines just sitting there on the floor! The machines that they had were just gigantic and absolutely awesome. Renntech was getting ready for some big touring car race, I am not sure which one. But they had a E55 chassis in the shop and they were installing roll bars and other stuff in it, very cool to see a true E55 built for racing. They also had a 3.8L "SLK 38" which pumped out about 450 hp. The most impressive car though was definetely that 600+ hp SL 600 they had. The license plate on it said "FAST V12".
Unfortunately I didn't get to see their famous CLK GT car .

Nope, no pics... I didn't bring my digital camera. I am probably going to be going back next week with my dad to get all the wood installed.
Oh yeah, he is also getting those Renntech wheels that are on all the renntech cars.

C32 AMG
how much was that 425 HP C32? Those pricey conversions remind of those $50,000 Ford Mustangs from Roush and Saleen . You're right JamE55, it's like buying another car, like another Benz. But if you want it really bad and have money like an Enron exec then go for it.

20" Renntech wheels??
...don't think Renntech would offer 20" wheels. Performance wise it would ruin any Mercedes. Thier CLK race car rus on 18". Remmenber Renntech is a performacne based company other tuners seem to be more into looks.

Renntech is located in West Palm Beach, Florida... about 20 minutes from my house and probably an hour from Ft. Lauderdale. Their site is www.renntechmercedes.com .

2002 CLK 55 AMG Coupe ;)
Thanks John.
Planning on going to the Cape & Epcot tomorrow for a couple of days. On the way back, time permitting, I'll pay a visit to Renntech.
A great resource here in S. FL!!

I have not done anything to my S500 because I am getting rid of it in a few months when my '03 C32 AMG comes in. I live in Boca Raton. I spoke with Bob, but Mr. Fehyl gave us the grand tour .

The 600 is my dad's, and 500 is mine and I am trading it in for a C32 whenever the '03's come in.
