Those seem like pretty good prices. I am looking at the same warranty company from my dealer and he was higher. Who quoted these? PM me if you don't want to post.

Anyone have experiance with Fidelity warrantys?

Wow the price is pretty good. Can you ask if they would write policy for 2003 SL55?

Thank you for the quotes. Do you know if these rates will be similar to a 2003 e55 with 66k miles? Since the mileage is probably higher than your 2007 cls, I am wondering if they will even cover my car.

very good quote. I plan on calling Troy later today to get a quote for my M5. Is your CLS still under factory warranty?

Fidelity Platinum Exclusions:

Brake linings, brake drums and rotors, disc brake pads, standard transmission clutch components, air bags, solar powered devices, hinges, glass, lenses, sealed beams, body parts and/or panels, trim, moldings, door handles, lock cylinders, tires, wheels, batteries, light bulbs, upholstery, paint, bright metal, freeze plugs, heater and radiator hoses, exhaust system, shock absorbers, audio, security or other systems not factory installed, work such as front-end alignment or wheel balancing, constant velocity joint boots, safety restraint systems, cellular phones, electronic transmitting devices (except for those specifically listed under silver, gold, or gold plus coverage), radar detectors, appliances, near object avoidance systems and all laser radar cruise control components, vinyl and convertible tops.

Does this mean that the platinum coverage does not cover the air suspension?

Does it cover the Nav and all?

I'd like to know too.

Their "gold plus" coverage plan says under both "front suspension" and "rear suspension":

"electronic level control components including pump, accumulator, lines, bags, stabilizer bar, links, and bushings"

Sounds to me like most of the components are indeed covered, but the shocks (a wear item) are not.

As for Navi, nothing seems to be clarified, but it does say under "Electrical:"

"OEM Radio/graphic equalizer/cassette tape player/compact disc player."

Since Navi is part of the OEM Radio/graphic display, perhaps you could get that covered. If the screen fails, the radio fails.

After searching, it seems like Fidelity does cover all ABC issues.

2001 E320 RWD - Brilliant Silver/Ash: 100,000+
I have their Platinum coverage on my 2001 E320 and so far they paid for a new instrument cluster. Next on the list are valve cover leaks, power rear window sunshade, one ball joint and the sunroof wind deflector. Need to schedule the car soon for the inspection by the company so I'm not sure they will cover all of these. My dealer sells them but I paid more than the above quotes.

I have about 17.5k on it now. I think I had about 14k when I purchased the warranty.

Fidelity is a strong company. Some dealers do a lot of volume so get very good prices, and sounds like that guy is willing to work on peanuts to get his numbers up or hit some incentive.

Let me know if any questions on the warranty, Fidelity or another like NAC (also a very strong company).

Fidelity is very reasonably priced IF your car has very low miles. They get very very expensive as the car's miles go up. Someone in this thread asked about their coverage for an E55 w/66K mi. Their prices will give you a nosebleed......they really do not want to cover higher mile, out of warranty cars, but will if they can get enough money to cover their risk. So they price very high.

NAC is a much better company for cars with higher miles. Same exclusionary coverage, but better pricing. I use both of them depending on the car (Fidelity will cover V12's, NAC won't), and miles (over 35K I typically use NAC due to better pricing for same coverage).

An independent company rated the top 200 or so companies in the USA for claims-paying reputation by checking with shops, customers, etc. Fidelity was #1, NAC #7, out of 200, so they are both VERY good.

Airmatic system (including struts) are covered with both company's top plans - Fidelity Platinum and NAC Pinnacle. Shock absorbers are excluded (on all extended warranties), but air struts are not shock absorbers so they are covered. To be honest though, with Arnott making replacement struts, that is the least expensive component in the system so I would not worry even if they are not covered. It's the pump, blocks, hard lines, etc that are very expensive and those are all covered.

Factory radio/nav systems are covered by both company's top plans.

I sell a lot of NAC plans to M5 and M6 owners as when those cars hit 35K or so miles, Fidelity gets too expensive. And I hear nothing but good things about claims experiences.

Bruce

I'd also like to know about Fidelity's contact info. The dealer price for an extended warranty for my '07 SL550 with just over 18k miles was way too high.

Typically, your local dealer will charge a lot for these warranties. This is why you have to search for wholesale brokers that will sel them really close to cost.

You can't buy direct, you can only purchase thru a dealer. Find a dealer that has a broker who can sell them for wholesale prices.
