Can i buy AMG engines

I was wondering if it is possible to buy AMG engines out of say A E55 if so where is the best place to start looking

or you can buy a remanufactured engine at MB dealer with warranty. Just need part number. Search at epc info for part number.

No kidding they list them. Looks like $36k for a new w113 compressor if memory serves me.

That sounds more like the regular non-Kompressor V8. The V8 Kompressor lists for >$70k, and it doesn't even list a price for the AMG V12 Biturbo.

If you can't find what you want at a dealer, eBay has some AMG engines. It doesn't look like they have a V8 Kompressor right now, but they do have a 6.2 V8. If you keep checking you might get lucky.

You're right! memory did not serve me.

If you look in the STAR there are vendors who list cars they are parting out.
