New Guy on the Block

Just wanted to say HI! New here and plan on helping out as much as I can and read alot of what I can.

No, I do not own a Mercedes. If I did, I would not be here typing. I would be out driving! I am the biggest fan of MB. Collector of everything that I can get my hands on. I have the manuals, the keys, the eblems, the parts, but I lack the most important piece of all - the car.

My dream - Owning a MB S600 Fully Loaded. Black outside, cream/tan leather interior. Odds of ever getting this? 0. Just thinking about owning a car like that makes me depressed knowing I will probably never own an MB in my lifetime.

However, there is a plus to all this. My constant brain activity has come up with several improvments to the body and internal components. For example, a design that I have come up with (but have not tested), would increase side impact protection by 45%. There are a few others, but they are mostly internal adjustments.

I love MB. I sleep, eat and drink MB. If there was anything I could ever do to own one, I would be there in a heartbeat! So if anyone of you want to make a donation, please feel free!

I have the S Class key and manual sitting in front of me.. now.. I have to get the car!

nice aspiration

I want an S600 too! Well, actually I want an S63 but that may be a while. Fuzzo hit it on the head... start small and grow into it. I can guarantee that anyone can afford a benz today even if they have to go for the coupe. Its a great start though. I started with a small C myself but I really like it and will be with MB from now on.

Welcome to the forums.

The C-Class starts at $25k with the C-Coupe.

And yes, the S600 is very nice.

I love the S600 too--especially the W140 coupes and W220's. Instead of buying more and more expensive brand-new Mercedes, you could also buy the newest and most powerful used S-Class you can afford--even if it's a W126 300SD for $5,000!

pristine W126 560SEL's--$10,000-25,000
W140 300SE's--under $25,000
nice W140 S500's--from $20,000 up to $40,000
W220 S430's--from $50,000

W140 600SEL's--excellent ones from $20,000 up
W140 S600's--ranging from $25,000-60,000
W220 S600's--lowest price: $90,000

See? There's an S-Class for every budget, and you can have a V12 car for the price of a new C-Class. If you want an S600 badly enough, I trust you will get it. In the meantime, entertain yourself with older, less pricey relatives of the new one!

Good luck

Wow man...you sound just like me. (For reference sake, yes that IS a scary thought.)

Although I am 17 now, and still a senior in high school, my life dream is to own a fully loaded S600 Sport designo espresso. (And a CL600 as well, but that's a different story for another day.)

Why don't you email me sometime and let me know of your progress in this dream?

At least your family already has three Mercedes and a BMW! My uninspired parents drive a 1999 Saturn, and I have a 1986 BMW 528e because that's all I can currently afford. Someday...

Good luck with your dream.
