My aunt used to own an old brown 450SEL. Wht series is thisÉ

450SEL
The 450SEL did not belong to the W126 series. It belonged to the W116 series that was produced from 1972 to 1979.

Oops. Frank is right. The 560SEL is part of the W126, but the 450 is a W116. Something must not have clicked upstairs.

I think it was int he middle 70`s. I looked at the safety kit in the rear and the ointment expired on 1978. Bet you wouldn`t want to use it!

Before W116....
was the W108/W109 series that featured S-classes such as the 300SEL 4.5 (export model for USA) and culminated in the legendary 300SEL 6.3.
