C32 or E55 which one would you take?

Hey guys I know they are very different cars but I had a guy telling me that I should have gotten a C32 instead of my E55! I was like oh...... I am glad I got the E55 instead and walked away. But what do you guys think?

Cheers

tough call

I bought the C32 because it was a new model year and ordered a 03 MY E55. Should be here in April.... 2003. The C is definately fun to drive cause its smaller and tighter and thus offers alot less roll in the twisties. The E55 is just an awesome vehicle from every aspect of the game. Im looking forward to the new one having all the techno goodies as the CL plus some added things such as the Panorama roof. I would never question my purchase on either one since they are both unbelieveable vehicles.

Since you had the money, the E55 is a good choice...

I have rode in both and own an E55 so of course I would take the E55. The build quality and stability is just awesome in the W210 chassis but it is dated so that makes the decision a lot tougher.
If I didnt have either right now I would take the E55 because of the drop in market value for that car. You can get lucky and pick up a 2001 for under 60k with low miles while most people are paying sticker for C32's in the mid 50's.

Dated or not, the W210 is one of the best cars MB has made in recent years. It's still a great car, and the new W211 is going to have some big shoes to fill. Everything about the current E-class "feels" good.

I would rather have the C32. I'm a sucker for a supercharger. Easy to modify, and I like the small sports sedan look too.

Well - as you can see from my signature I picked a C32!

Of course, if another 20 grand popped out of the air I would like an E55 - especially the new model! It's not really fair to compare them because of the large price difference.

I've talked a little to our salesman, but convincing the wife that I NEED 450+ HP is difficult... The 300 HP E500 would pretty sweet with maybe a sport package ... ahh, to dream!

And all the rest of you are probably on the waiting list ahead of me!

I have not driven an E55, but I would think it would feel bigger and heavier. I wish the handling was just a tad better (tighter) on the C32, but I come from a Porsche 993, so maybe I am just spoiled!

The C32 has more cool gadgets. The E55 has rear seat room.

Well, certainly both would be nice. Since I can't even come close to affording either, it's a moot point for me. I'd choose the E55 though. I like mid-size luxury sedans and think the E-Class is better-looking than the C-Class. I'd also rather have a large naturally-aspirated V8 than a supercharger. Still, the C32 would be a nice improvement over my '86 BMW 5-Series.

If I was about to buy it today, I would go for the C32. Mainly because I don't have use for a bigger car than that and because I'm pretty satisfied with my current C. Both are awesome cars though.
