722.9 transmission adaptation?

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if anything other than STAR can do the 722.9 transmission adaptation? I'm talking about the adaptation in the TCU where the programming makes up for the wear/slack. As I understand it, this is different than the shift point learning for driving habits. If you rebuild, which I'm doing, you're supposed to reset or obviously you'll wear out your friction disks instantly (since it'll think the thinner old ones are in there).

I know I could go to the stealership, but if an iCarsoft MB II or similar can do the deed, seems like a less expensive option.

Thanks in advance!

Nope 722.9 with torque converter. MCT was the AMG one right? Yeah I don't have that.

There's got to be someone who knows about the transmission adaptation? Is this the same as the reset you see all over youtube? The one people refer to as the driving preferences reset?

XENTRY is the dealer method of modifying adaptions. Urban legends of accelerator pedal, battery cable disconnect, etc. are legends. Myths. XENTRY is the tool for transmission adaptations.

This was my question as well, I am having my TCM cloned and will need adaptations for shift afterwards, I have been researching some scanners for MB that have the capability but I have to purchase one to actually find out. Foxwell and Autel have a pretty comprehensive one with Bi-Directional and Module Matching capabilities for around $250.00. Hoping someone had tried any of these with success?....
