Some years ago (in the 90's) Jim Bollyn the GM at a Mitsubishi dealership got into a police chase at about 1am...in my car. The plates "SLOW VR4" was easy to track down. Cops showed up at my house at about 2:30am woke me up, threw me down and cuffed me.
I got new tires, rotors, pads, clutch and all fluids at no cost. Jim got fired and charged with all the speeding - chase stuff. The killer for him, the car was found in the dealership behind a closed (glass) door at about 4am.

Several years ago, I bought a new car, and the sales guy decided my trade-in was his to enjoy. I was contacted by the local police several weeks later about an unpaid traffic ticket and an issued arrest warrant. Fortunately they were too busy to send the SWAT folks to my front door.

This guy went above and beyond to make sure the issue with her car didn't come back...haha. Who here doesn't hate dropping off their car with an issue and then get it back a week later with the words "we couldn't reproduce the issue"? Or maybe he just thought that he was joyriding an AMG. When they called it a C300 AMG, they lost me. Lady take that fake badge off, maybe then nobody will wanna joyride it anymore 
. Certainly a strange case all the way to the point where the dealership is essentially threatening with retaliation.

It reminds me one time at an Autozone, the lady next to me needed something for her car. When the clerk asked her what car she had, her response was it's a BMW Mini. The clerk started typing and responded I can't find such a car. She kept repeating it's a BMW Mini. I had to keep myself from laughing out loud. I didn't say a word and just walked out after I was done.

I wasn't expecting so many great stories from posting this YouTube video. That made my day and it's only half past noon. Thank you all.
Also, the "C300 AMG" made me cringe. Maybe they edited the part out where she actually said "C300 AMG package." 😂
Just the other day, I saw a S500 W221 with an AMG badge... They almost fooled me.

There is a guy near me in the small drop top - I forget what it is...CLK? No, not that...but, it has LARGER "AMG" letters on the right side, not properly spaced nor in the proper font. The guy always waves at me so I am polite and wave back.

There are dealerships that slap the AMG badge on AMG Line cars. I’m guessing this dealership is one of them.

I saw that story, seems like a pretty egregious case of dealership employee misconduct. Hopefully, they get to the bottom of it and make sure any potential issues with the service center are rectified - my '23 GLE's next maintenance visit is coming up, and I'll be keeping a close eye on reviews from other owners who've had recent experiences at that particular dealership.

That would be even lamer. Nobody refers to their car by package name and for starters the package is called AMG Line. If they’d called it a C300 AMG Line that would be fine.
There are dealerships that slap the AMG badge on AMG Line cars. I’m guessing this dealership is one of them.
