I've had my GL for 3 weeks now and have put 2500 miles on it and am loving how it drives. This is my first MB. My wife and I were set on purchasing an LR3 and we happened to see the GL being driven into the showroom for the 1st time. Love at first sight. Drives smooth with my new Custom 22" Antera wheels installed. Tinted the entire windshield and side windows and rear Sunroof with 3M film. Looks sharp.

Going in for more mods this week: Rearview Camera, Luggage divider net, Cargo Mats, Polished Stainless Steel running boards. More to come....

Enjoy.

The custom shop I go to will take your Command unit and have it modified to play DVD's and accept a Hi-res color camera for the rear. It will be able to play DVD's. The DVD player mounts in the glove or under your chair and can hook up your Xbox too.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll give you their info.

Doesn't driving around w/ a tinted windshield make it difficult for one to see?

Please correct me if I am wrong!

By the way, great looking MB!

The tint has very reflective properties. 3M 60% window film was used for the front windshield. It does not decrease your visibility and it offers UV protection.

I have running boards installed now. The ipod integration kit is a must if you own one. I can go for days before hearing the same song again plus I love having the song title in the message area of the dash. Will post some updated pics soon.

She's going in for aftermarket reverse color camera and dvd integrated to Comand system. I can't wait! Should have her back by this friday. Check back for updates.

Anybody have any info on chrome fog lamp covers? Part number? Pics?
I'll be ordering the chrome hood fins as well.

Thanks.

I thought that NJ law prohibited windshield and front side window tint. Did you have this done in NJ?

You are correct.I have the windshield on my C43 tinted. It's hard to tell because the interior is black and I have limo tint on the rear.

Thanks...Can anyone here photoshop the centers of my rims to make it look as if they are painted black (ie. elbowyeish's wheels)?

Wow...great job with the Photoshop. It's just another option later down the road. I do like the way it is now also. Thanks for the pic.

Thanks...I wanted to maintain a clean, professional, executive look. I didn't want it to be too flashy but I still want it to command attention when you see it...which it does. I still have only seen about 3 GL's on the road in the Northern NJ area.
