Reflection Shot
I went hunting for a puddle to day so I could shoot a reflection shot and this is the only one I could find. The clouds are unbelievable today, lots of dark "scud" and still spitting rain over the mountains. Here it is:

I like...the GL is reflecting upon itself. Is that one an HDR? The scenery where you live is beautiful. Maybe I should do a photo shoot with the lovely cornfields of the midwest in the background.

Thanks cj and yes that is a HDR image. There are many more beautiful sites out here as nish's latest images show and I want to get to some of them. I am sure the cornfield of the mid-west are just as photogenic based on my passing knowledge seeing them while traveling.

No GL, but...
For those who recently visited RR Canyon, here is a 6 shot panorama shot from the Overlook area. You can see how the weather effects the views of the area from day to day.

Thanks cj...with the 10 lane US95 completed it takes me about 15 minutes (except maybe during rush hour and there are three of those a day in this town) or I can use the beltway to Flamingo and that is a little longer because it is less direct. As the bird flies, probably about 7 miles or so.

That's a good one Nish!
I used a snow brush and cleared the rear window and camera first, then cleared the driver and passenger front windows. Didn't even attempt the windshield at that point, just backed it straight out and began to clear the rest of the snow off. It took a good 15 minutes total. The biggest pain was the cargo carrier, because it sits so high on the crossbars.

Here are a couple of shots of my 9 year old daughter skiing Monday. Just check out all of that powder! It was the best day of the year so far.

That's a great shot. I wouldn't want to live in it but it's fun to go visit every now and then. My friends in Mt Shasta have been getting dumped on. They say it has snowed more for longer than they have ever seen. Their weather man said the last system was the equivalant of a Cat 2 hurricane.
I will visit them in late Feb for some skiing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. Too bad I will be in a rental instead of the GL
Oh yeah! There is also the "Moose Bar".

Glad you guys had a good time. When we went up to Sequoia/Kings Canyon NP and my son played in the snow for the first time, he also said it was the best day of his life
