Congrats and you should love the distronic, as well as the Sirius and keyless go. They are 3 of my favorite options.

My favorites too. I was out at 1:00 am trying out the distronic. I love it. Particularily the way it applies the brakes for you when an idiot cuts you off.

I have found the problem with Distronic is getting used to it, as I have... and then drive a car that doesn't have it.

Regular cruise control just doesn't cut it....

Well after 48 hours in, all I can say is that it is amazingly different. For example I stopped yesterday all on hill; heading down. I was talking to a friend in another car. While talking the vehicle automatically starting rising while I was setting there. I didn't do anything. Once I eased to the flat, it then lowered again. I guess we all have a lot of learning to do regarding what this vehicle can really do.

Hey, I guess I'm showing my ignorance. I haven't seen a buttom for that. I looked visually, but haven't looked in the manual. As usual there is a lot to read. I will say this though. The Nav system is far superior to the one in my CLS 55. It will take you to an exact house in a subdivsion, not just to the road leading into it as the Nav did in the SL and does in the CLS. Hopefully there will be a disc upgrade soon.

Sweet ride, glad you got yours now. Truly an amazing SUV. Regarding the sport-comfort-auto buttons, I think thats part of ADS with real Technical Off Road Package, not Optical Off Road. Airmatic and ADS always go together, but not with the GL. First time they did that I guess. Wonder why MB bundle it with off roading.

Great buy. Sure beats your standard Denali, Escalade, etc. Have any plans for a road trip? Congratulations.

How's the ride???:cheers

Road trip to Myrtle Beach next month, to the Gulf Coast of Miss. in late August. Will be removing the crossbars to reduce wind noise. Almost was going to drive to Cincy the 1st week of August, but decided to fly instead.

Plenty of room for the clubs. Sounds like some quality miles. Congratulations again and let us know any updates re: your thoughts on the new Kruise King.

So you don't have the "off-road" package, you have the Appearance package right?

How do you guys like the BREAKS? We test drove it again for the fourth time yesterday, but my wife doesn't like the way the breaks feel...very sensative. What are you feelings?

Nice

Was this a lease of finance ?? and would you mind positing price paid after everything etc. compared to MSRP and if you financed what APR were you able to get ...

In fact i am going to start a post about this... Just curious to what APR people got out of financing with the dealership...or elsewhere.

Just got the appearance package, not the "off-road" package. The only off roading I do is turning into the driveway.

The brakes are a little different. You get use to the pedal almost immediately, though. No big deal.
