New Wheels and Running Boards

I have OBlack with macademia leather, along with distronic and keyless go, which were a must for me. But I loved the outside of the PE. I added the PE running boards and wheels.

Love your color combo...i'm trying to decide b/w Black and Obs. Black. Can you describe your perception of the differences?
Thanks.

I can't really tell the difference between them until you are in the bright sunlight. But the small metal flakes really bring out the black and add a unique glimmer to the vehicle in the sunlight.

Would you mind me asking what you paid for the running boards and 20" wheels. They look fantastic.

Looks good!! Did you get it from Canada? Also did you put it on yourself or dealer?

I got the wheels and boards from Canada. They sent the wrong wheels the first time, but we worked through that. Of course the techs at the local dealer didn't know how to put the running boards on, since they are not accessories here in the US. They had to order a schematic from somewhere. But finally, after a month of this and that, the finished product is back in my driveway.

Obsidian black is metallic with clearcoat and black is straight black paint with clearcoat. Obsidian is much easier to maintain because it will show far less swirls over time. Then again, it WILL show swirls if you are not careful. Any dark paint is a PITA. The one drawbacl to Obsidian black is that it looks "dusty" in intense direct sunlight. Some people don't care for that but then again, 99% of the time it looks great.

Here is a closeup of Obsidian black on my PE.

If they ever decide to sell a ML550 here it should have those wheels and the Nappa leather standard.
