How many miles do you have on your GL?

I am currently at the 6,000 mile mark and have not experienced any of the problems some of you in this forum have experienced with your GL.

My GL drives better than it did when I bought it in May and I enjoy driving it everywhere I go. I plan on putting the stock wheels back on in preparation for fall/winter, plus I plan on going surf fishing and will be driving her up and down the beach during my hunt for stripers!

How many miles do you have on yours?

3500, Had a rattle in the rear left passenger door that I had fixed. Currently have a rattle in the rear seat AC vents up top and a trim piece from the 40 part of the rear seat fell off as I folded it to access the third row seat.

Nothing serious, but disappointing in terms of interior build quality as I would expect more from a marquis brand......I wouldn't be *****ing if this were a jeep.

Depends where I'm going.
5500 miles and no issues except for the well documented hard 2-1 downshift on deceleration. Knock on wood!

8500 miles

I hear a high pitch whistle almost all the time when my sunroof is open.

I am fairly satisfied with my purchase but I wish you can control the rear entertainment system from the drivers side without using the remote.

The SUV is a monster when driving up I-70 in the mountains

I havent seen alot on the road and I live in the LA area

On a couple other Mercedes I've had, that noise was eliminated by an adjustment of the sunroof track. You might give it a shot.

GL450 Premier Edition
haven't been to the forums in a few weeks, been out driving the GL!!

so far i have about 5500 Miles.

Issues with the car:

1. Car pulls to the right still
2. Very Noticable rattle from the rear AC vents
3. Navigation system will not store any destinations
4. Cannot run through preset radio stations from the driving wheel's controls

other than that it drives great! Once it hits 6500 I'll be taking her in though to get the problems sorted out.

your rattle from the ac ventsform the 3rd row AC system?

I have the optional AC and the thing rattles behind my head, th head liner is what is rattling, it is like it is glued up there and when your driving the glue comes in contact with the roof then out of contact.

i have another rattle around my left shoulder somewhere just behind me while driving near the headliner.

anyone else have these, how did dealer fix and did the fix work?

Coming up on 3000 miles....no rattles...no pulling except the straight ahead pull when I nail the throttle!....all electronics seem perfect (I finally figured out the ipod controls!)....no smoking....no hard shift....the transmission is great, in fact.

The car is awesome...I get comments on the looks all the time.

Today in the rain I hit the throttle in a turn to see how it handles in the wet. For a half a second the car slipped, the ESP light flashed, and the car tracked through the turn with confidence.

Why 6500? Is that one of the service intervals?

07 GL450,
2000 mi. here, so far I have had a 3rd. row seat switch fail and the air matic suspension level and farts each time a door is opened when vehicle is at rest. The dealer said they could not find any faults with the airmatic system but offered no reason why no other GL on the lot does'nt do it.
I tinted the top 6" of the front windshield as the glare was unbearable. Is this the 1st. car in 30 years not to have a tint band on the windshield?

I'll chime in here.
18,500 evrything works fine
Handling in downpours is not as I would like but have slowed down
Rear shade ripped and was replaced
Does "fart" I don't see this as a problem
I'm not that picky get in turn the key crank the radio so you don't hear the rattles, take it in when scheduled.

Still for sale
