Thanks for the info. Actually I also found an illustration of cut out in the user manual ( go figure, should have read the manual). I did install IPass in the cutout window on right side of rear view mirror partly covering the shaded portion. Tested the unit while driving thru Chicago yesterday. Works like a charm. Also I wil buy a remote antenna for my Garmin and set it by the lower cutout ( by dash in middle) that way I will have 2 GPS just in case i get really lost...
