Looks like a fairly good deal. I believe this is just a 10K mile per year lease. Anyone know if you can add to this lease without a major penalty of do you have to take it exactly as is to get the deal. I would like a Nav & Keyless go and 12K miles. Will Mercedes allow these upgrades using these same rates adjusted for the add-ons?

 

Not certain on this, but depending on the dealer, i think you can get one with more options for a slightly higher monthly

You do get to use the same rate and residual regaurdless of the options.

 

And the discount as well.

 

For every $1000.00 you add figure an extra $25-30 dollars a month roughly.

Since the first $60K costs a little over $11.00 per Thousand per month, then what you say makes perfect sense. At least according to the quotes I have been getting. Looking in the $70K range I'm getting quotes at $250+ over the advertised $679 before tax. This comes to almost $10K over the 39 mo term of the lease which means I'm am paying for the options by the end of the lease.

This is appears to be a very good deal if you stick to the base model, but when you start adding options it doesn't look quite as good. I've already been quoted by several area dealers and there seems to be quite a variance in rates on similar priced vehicles.

 

I got a couple of quotes this morning that seem to be quite a bit better. The first one is really good. These quotes are with taxes and for reference, the base model at the $679 a month lease rate would be $730 with taxes in Tennessee. These leases are for 10K miles per year for 39 months. They have similar out of pocket up front amounts to the ones shown in the Winter Event offer.

The first quote was on a list price of $69605. Lease at $854 per month.

The second quote was on a list price of $73235. Lease at $925 per month.

My wife want ths keyless go and the first vehicle does not have that option. Now I've got to decide if Keyless go is worth $71 a month and peace of mind.

Go with the 73k GL450...you get everything you and your wife wants, if you're spending 800+ a month might as well spend a little more to satisfy to wife

I decided to go with the higher priced model. I was going to pick it up today but I couldn't find anyone available to drive with me to bring my car back. I will have to wait until one day next week. As I said, the first deal was a little better on the $69605 price, but I didn't get all the details since I decided against it. I don't have the values used. Also I don't have the percentage but I can show you what was sent to me on the higher priced model. Listed below.

I haven't bought it yet. I told the dealer I wanted it but have not signed anything. I wanted to get it today but couldn't find anyone to take with me to drive my car back(the dealer is 300 miles away). For all I know he could have sold it today. I'm sure he would have if someone came in ready to deal.

My local dealer doesn't have anything but the low end models and they are only getting in two more this month but not equipped the way I want.

I did go by my local dealer today and test drove one. It was quiet and comfortable and felt very stable. I think I was expecting a little more. It seemed kinda slow especially from a stop. I think my MDX feels quicker. Maybe I've been driving the E55 too much but I was expecting it to have better acceleration. I really liked the way it drove and maybe it will get faster after breakin.

The salesperson said they would have a turbo diesel in about 2 weeks. Anyone drove one?

 

Uhhhhh... stick to what u know.........the rate is the same per term per model but the options are residualized as a percentage of msrp...........

 

Long day today. Left to pick up the GL at 7am this morning and just got back(8pm). Picked it up at MB of NW Arkansas which is about 325 miles from my house in Memphis. Had a friend ride with me in the E55 to bring back the E. Made the drive in 4.5 hours, stopped for lunch and then went to the dealer. My friend went ahead and left a few minutes after we got there. Took me another hour and a half. I also let them talk me into a 50K mile or 5 year tire wheel warranty for about $700. Replaces tires and wheels if they are damaged. Even a curb scrape gets you a new wheel.

On the way back I ran into rain about 20 miles on the far side of Little Rock and it just kept getting worse. Lots of 18 wheelers and tight places where road construction was going on. I hate being next to an 18 wheeler on one side and about a foot off a concrete wall on the other.

Once I got past Little Rock on I-40 the rain got a lot worse and so did the 18 wheelers. I could barely see and the rain coming off the 18 wheelers made it a lot worse. It was a white knuckle drive for about two hours. Just glad to be home alive.

The GL handled the drive incredibly well. Very stable and accurate steering. I would have hated to have been in my old Suburban. I averaged 17 miles a gallon on all freeway driving. The GL got a hard break-in so I hope the theory works. I varied the speed a lot using 5th, 6th, and 7th gears mostly but drove around 70 to 80 most of the way.

The GL is much quicker than I though it was after test driving one. I like the seats in my E55 better but the lumbar in the GL is better and the seats aren't bad. The Nav has been upgraded somewhat over the E55 also. Haven't had much time to check everything out but I think I'm going to like it a lot.

 

Congrats waxking! sounds like you got a baptism by fire driving it home! at least you know it can handle itself in the worst conditions.

 

Congrats Wax on the GL...funny, I live in Denver now, but grew up and lived in Little Rock (Benton really) until 2005. I-40 is a constant orange barrel, that is for sure...

Question for you. Do you have a switch on the center console for "comfort" or "sport"?

 

Only has a Vehicle Level Control switch. "On", the vehicle is raised 3".

 

So that confirms that ADSII is only with the Off-Road package...dang MB...
