Keyless Go Diesel Question
Does anyone know how Keyless Go will work in conjunction with the diesel's need for pausing to wait on the glow plugs? I assume the KG itself will be smart enough to pause as necessary but don't know-anyone with experience or knowledge on the issue?

Auto,
We know it's available b/c we both spec'd, right (BTW, my order has been locked-no changes now)? So, i just wonder if the KG module has the brains to delay for the glow-plugs...on my Dad's new ML CDI (non-KG), the glow plug delay has been non-existent until it has gotten cold in the mornings, and now there is a distinctly longer delay-hence my wonder? The one GL320CDI I drove did not have KG either.
Thanks.

Today, I'm going to look at a GL320 CDI that the dealer just got yesterday. I'll see if it has Keyless Go and how it works. Otherwise, I'll ask the salesperson. But my experience is that most of us on this forum know more about the products than the salespeople do.

I ordered the keyless go on the GL Diesel that I spec'd out. I am not sure how it works on the MZB, but I know on the Volkswagon that I used to own, the glow plugs were activated upon opening the driver's door. I am thinking that it might be similar for MZB. Either opening the door activates the plugs, or pushing the button on the handle to unlock the door activates the plugs.

The one GL320 CDI they had on the lot did not have Keyless Go. And nobody knows the answer to the question. There is the presumption that the starter waits for the glow plugs or else there is some way to activate them early, like Danno4x4 said.

KG should not be an issue, see info on ISS - Instant Start System.

Thanks for your informed posts...as i expected they would, it sounds as though they've made KG responsive to the glow plugs as necessary...
