Gl63 Amg
Just spoke to my brother in Tuscaloosa, Alabama (near Vance). He was doing a kitchen remodel for a MB Vance employee that has a new GL 320. Seems they are now back in full production after reviewing the inter cooler hose issue. He also revealed that they are now in production with the new GL63 AMG!! I have not seen any info on this but thought I would pass this bit of news along to you GL guys.

There are no plans for the Bluetec AMG, and we have no plans to introduce an AMG GL.

I was told the same thing by Rob Allan back in August or September. BTW, you aren't supposed to copy/paste any part of the Private Lounge discussion to anywhere...at least I think.

OK...
1. I did not personally see it.
2. I believe my brother.
3. I don't know the man that revealed this info.
4. I have no reason to doubt his word.
5. In working at the plant and seeing the vehicles that are BUILT there, he probably would have information that others might not.

Good info and I don't doubt your word (or bros). Did your brother use the term 'intercooler' or did you just interpret 'stoppage' and thought intercooler? I'm just curious to know, since there is conflicting reports on what exactly was the shutdown. I hope he used the word intercooler.

Yeah I too won't believe it until it is officially announced. With the GL320, GL450, GL550 (confirmed for real at a big dealer meet in Las Vegas) and the GL420 Bluetec there are enough GL models.

Interesting, when I last spoke to my dealer (a week ago), the inventory manager told me that you can order some MY2008's now, namely S63 and another AMG sedan (I believe).

You could put a deposit down on a 2010 GL or anything else, for that matter, and I'm sure you could find a dealer to accept it. Until the vehicle appears on the Netstar MBUSA dealer ordering network, nothing is actually "on order".
