First Zaino - pics
Finally a nice day in Boston so I had time to do my first wax since delivery last month. The pics do no justice to the Capri blue after 2 coats of Zaino! Stuff is great. Can't drive it now or it will get dirty, can't leave it outside or it will be covered in pollen

Thanks all, yeah, the GL seems to handle the extra chrome really well without being too blingy. It should be standard but maybe some think it's too much??

jpeardm.....
Beautiful car!
Did the same chrome stuff with mine (except I haven't figured out how to get the black bumper pad off yet
) It really does look nice with the Blue.
Isn't that Zaino great...? I've been using it for the past several years on my Corvette and you cannot beat the shine or the protection. Can't wait to get my GL cleaned up and put the Z on

Hi blittle, yeah if they used adhesive as well as the pins and fingers like the chrome one, it may not be a pretty sight, once you start there's no going back. I started using the Zaino on my 66 vette too and have been hooked since. I read your post on the 3 mile logging road, do you go up there in the winter? That would be a real test.

Thanks for the pictures, great looking GL! Looks like I'll be getting skid plates - a nice addition. I've been a fan of Zaino for years, although only on lighter colors (white and silver.) My own thoughts are that carnauba (I use Soveran) provides better depth on dark colors...at the expense of durability.
I only wish I could try either on my GL this afternoon.

I go up there usually once a month.........stay there two months in the summer. Yeah....the winter gets interesting..... the road gets a little plowing now and then ..... a few of us property owners chip in and get it at least reasonable for my previous ride which was a Grand Cherokee. The really bad stuff is the freez and thaw which makes nasty ice. The GL will do the Cherokee TWO better....I can lock center and rear diffs and raise up another 4in. if I have to. Party of me wants to try all of that out........the other part says "you're a long way from anybody say nothing about MB road side!
