Baby seat question

We're switching from an infant seat to a convertible seat. For those of you with babies on board - what tether anchor locations are you using? thanks!

Wink Hi..

I have my 3yr old toddler in the third row/booster seat..my infant is tethered in the middle second row..but now is tethered on the drivers side..have inlaws over..easier maneuverability for now....believe the middle is safest for infants?

Center seat, middle position for tether in the seat back.

Of your possessions would you rate M3 as high on list.... Thinking about new M3 convertible (stick/ hard top) which should be released n next year or so

The M3 was at least as enjoyable as my 1993 911 which I owned for about 3 years. M3's are great, fun cars but I sold it for the same reasons as I did for the 911: 1. reliability; 2 comfort. My M3 was torn down twice for lower bearing recalls, and the car left me stranded with faulty ignition coils. The M3 had about 15000 miles on it when I sold it. Even more important, after 100 mile trips in the M3 I felt exhausted and beat up even in light traffic, highway driving. I may lose my mind again and buy a new M3 or even a 2008 Corvette but I will try to restrain myself and stick with cars that feel good 90% of the time instead of 10%.

Lost in the noise about Mercedes reliability is the fact nothing's less reliable than a BMW.

Okay, I'm gonna jump in here on the BMW dissfest. I had my 2003 M3 for 3 years, and never had to take it in for any unschedled service. Same with my 328 I had before. I love MB, but I have had my GL in for service twice in the past 6 months. Never the less, I still drool over my GL. Okay, I'm done venting now, continue on...

Yup, the middle seat is best.

My 2003 X5 4.4 was flawless. I gave to my daughter to replace her 2004 RX330 which had several issues. My 2002 M3 was totally unreliable, I had a 2001 540i which had some issues but was not terrible. I think its mostly just luck. If you have a problem free car and still like driving it keep it for a long time.

One problem with that....we have twins. Could do one in the middle and one outboard, but we'd like to leave the middle open for my wife to accompany them when they're being fussy. Are there tether anchors in all 3 seat backs?

If this sounds like a stupid RTFM-type of question, please consider that when we purchased our GL used, it didn't have the manuals. Our dealer has ordered us a set, but we're still waiting.
