I am on planning on doing a 8 week tour of Europe with my 2007 GL450 and wanted to see if anyone could tell me where I get GPS CDs for Europe. I assume that the GPS on US car will work there if loaded with appropiate CDs. Any guidance appreciated.

 

Best check with a dealer or someone knowledgeable on the subject. The EU COMAND is a different spec and whether the US COMAND will play the EU DVD or not is questionable.

 

Frankly, I think the nav in the GL sucks. I wonder if another vendor has a DVD or regional CDs that would be better and work in the GL.

Any ideas?

 

Have you called NavTech...perhaps they could do a cerebellum transplant of their entire data base. With a BT connection to COMAND you could just think where you wanted to go and it would respond instantly.

That's a Barolo Red turned Obsidian Black with the help of Photoshop...couldn't find any MB shots in Black on their site. Maybe they will post a announcement notice this week with some nice images?

I have done European Delivery twice and both times, the Delivery Center loaned me the Euro disk. Not sure if you're going near Stuttgart, but I bet they would lend you one (or, excuse me, sell you one!).

I have my 320 CDI with me in Germany, and I talked to a dealership and they could not help me with the European DVD's.
Do you remember the part number or any other thing about your DVD you purchased for your European delivery. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
