New Baby Delivered

Finally, after six weeks, got my new "baby", and I love it ( I would like more power though)

Is it just me, or the wheel-cluster are not aligned/off-center?

BETO, thanks for sharing the pics. I always like to see what my interior is going to look like.

Hope to see you at the Vegas meet in October!

Looks really nice, BETO, and great pics too. I did notice that MB is finally offering half decent earphones with RSE. Mine look like they were rejected by airlines so MB bought them for use as OEM.

Thanx guys for your comments. I love that color combo, and I didn't know (Capri and Macadamia). I got side step bars and grille guard now, so I need to update pics. I like the oem headphones, look very slick, and my kids fight over them (got three "smurfs" and two oem and one Sony headset)
Yes, I'll be at the LV meet, and I will take somebody to Death Valley if they want to check that place instead of Red Rock.
Jack, you probably see me during the weekend since this is my weekend car.
Are you sure the cluster is aligned? maybe my head/eyes are twisted

BETO,

Glad you're going to make the LV meet. Are you planning to join us for dinner Friday night? If so, how many seats do I need to reserve for you? I've already got a call into my contact at Rao's, so let me know asap if possible.

Thanks!

Nice GL! That is almost exactly like the one I am ordering. I would be interested to hear how the diesel performs for you.

Just put the order in and deposit down for a 2008 GL 320. I'm coming out of a Renntech CL600 with 655 hp so the power or lack there of on the GL will be a bit trying.

Man, that's a big change in vehicles. Gonna seem like nothings happening when you go to pass on the highway compared to the CL. I had an SL600 and when you get into that V12 the torque pull is like lighting an afterburner. You'll still love the GL but just have to plan your moves a little further ahead.

You can "chip" the engine and increase HP and TQ. Diesel engines are not fast accelerating engines, they are designed for work in most cases, except the latest diesel race cars seen in endurance races.
I wanted a diesel because of my towing needs, my ML500 is already quick enough off the line.

Very true. I look forward to the fuel mileage, seating capacity, and usefullness of the GL.
