First pictures of our Pewter GL550
More/better pictures to follow. The wife drove it back to Raleigh (I'm not dumb), so driving impressions will also follow.
I don't know if pictures do it justice, but the truck is absolutely stunning in Pewter. The color changes in different lighting conditions, from nearly silver to grayish to a light beige.
I have to say that Lee and particularly Mark made this the most pleasant car delivery experience we have had to date.

Looks beautiful, and yes you can see the golden tones come through in the sunlight, I love that effect, would have been my first color choice but my wife's car was already silver.

I'm not worthy! I would like to find out more about your camera setup, though...I want to get into digital SLR (finally) and I'm looking for pointers. I imagine that there is a thread already; I'll try a search.
One early driving impression is that the steering is lighter than I had remembered from my test drives...I'm hoping that this will improve as the tires break in.

Way to go Raj! It's great seeing the 550 in another color and it's amazing how the Pewter changes color with the light. I wouldn't have expected that, so it must be a nice bonus for you. Enjoy the ride!!!

On my trip back from Denver to Las Vegas I didn't notice any "lightness." In city driving there seems to be a lot of assist but at good speed on the highway it was firm and responsive. I am not one to ask about tendencies or car performance characteristics though.

Congratulations - an absolutely awesome looking unit! Got to admit I really like the look of the 550 front end. (They are listed as available in Canada, but dealer says they are only bringing a very few to this market.)

SRAJ Congratulations on the new GL! Looks great! Pewter is the also the color that I have on order for my GL 320. Seeing your pictures just reinforces that Pewter is the right color choice for me.

Congrats SRAJ, great vehicle. I just saw my first 550 at the car wash, those are PHAT. Same color as my wife's, black on black. Love the running boards especially. If my wife ever requests them, I'm writing a check. The grill is great, almost wish I had waited to get ours. But not really...I love the 450 as well.

Very elegant in that color! Congratulations! Sure hope those carpool kids don't mess up the beautiful macadamia interior
I got an e-mail from Mark first thing this morning telling me that he had delivered to you and Ann yesterday and that you were very pleased. He says mine is on track with the production date as well. Glad things went well with the delivery and hope you get to drive it more

The fender flares are unique to the GL550. If you wanted to install them you would have to also do the front bumber. I also think the back would create a problem or too also. I don't even know if there is a part # since they are factory installed in the production process.
