Sound System

I understad the Gl's sound sytem isn't world class...any coments?

There's a whole thread on this, you can take a look. I'll also try to find it for you. I've heard it and I think it sounds great. I'm not an audophile but I do enjoy good tunes. I think people might be being a bit over-critical. Just like you can't expect the GL to hande like a sports car. Although it comes close!

I don't think it sounds that bad, but I'm not picky so my opinion doesn't count.

I'm usually just listening to Armstrong and Getty on Talk 650 Sacramento, and they sound fine.

Actually come to think of it, they do sound funnier in the GL. How do you think MB managed that??

Ha ..not Rush as in Limbough....but I do rock now and then to RUSH the group....now I have a little Joe Cocker on...I'm sure he'll do just fine in the GL

HK, which is the premium sound system in GL, is OK, IMO. It is not an audiophile's system but then again it is meant to be listened to in a car. Search for a post by gordongl450 and you will see some great comments on the GL sound.

The Harmon Kardon system in my GL sounds fantastic. It's the best sounding of the last 5 Mercedes that I've owned.
