I got a new battery and all is fine now since the module is off. I am going in tomorrow to lower the GL back down via the lowering links method and I am going to return the module to Carlsson. After that is finished I will take a video of start up with reving. Hope all is good with everyone

Your Modifications

Your car looks great!! I had a couple questions about your mods. Is the lowering module a plug and play or are there other modifications that must be done and with the exhaust is it a direct fit or does the rear bumper need to be cut? thanks dwp2002

the module is plug and play although, if you look at my last post you will see that it was draining my battery so I have removed the module and lowered the car now via the lowering links method. the exhaust is a direct fit no cutting was required.

I was wondering how much of a drop did you get with the lowering links.
Is a 2" drop possible without problems.
Thanks

I dont know of the exact measurements of the drop, but with the links I am a bit lower than with the module in the pictures I posted. I have yet to have any problems. Sorry for the delay in responding to your question.

That is a very well known side effect of DrivingAGLItis. Other symptoms include forgetting near and dear family members, overwhelming desires to live, eat, and, sleep in the car, etc.

Really like the growl while it idles.

Here's another link that provides engine sound out of a non-modified GL550; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVztEt4ghik&NR=1

Come on CL.....should have red lined it

Sounds great, like Stumble says. I can hear a slight difference between this and my 450.

I did make one with it at almost redline but it just didnt sound good. I guess its hard for the camera to pick up how it sounds when you are right next to it or driving for some reason.

Don't put the camera behind exhaust when filming red lining. Leave it in the car and leave doors open a notch. You should "hear" better results

CL65,

Does the module just reset the ride height datum lower or is a completely new configuration?

hi CL65

do you have any update on the link you install to lower the GL!

I know for the front is has a very similar setup as my wife's e500

All you need it to add couple metal ring then it should be lower!

I'll also try that this week to see the outcome
