GL550 with Brabus Exhaust and new Carlsson Lowering Module (pix)

I got the new Carlsson lowering module installed along with Brabus sport exhaust. The new module makes the car lower than before. I apologize for the poor lighting in the pictures.

Looks great. Do you still have the OEM suspension settings and is there any performance increase with the exhaust ? Also how does it sound ? My wife just broke her leg, can you tell me how much lower the front seat entry would be. Thanks Stew

Great looking GL! Does the lowering module allow you to raise the vehicle if you need to, and is the ride height adjustable? I'm thinking this would be ideal for my dad's next GL in about a year. He'll be 80 by then and getting into a high vehicle can be a bit of a chore for older folks. His current GL is about right, but I can see it becoming more difficult the older he gets. He has told me a car just wouldn't do because getting in and out of the lower seat in a car is most difficult for him. So, if he still drives as well as he does now, the 550 will be his next vehicle, and the lower height with this module will be exactly what he'll need.

Yes to answer your question and NEODOCs question you can still use the sport and comfort modes (which will raise and lower it) as well as the regular raise button. I do not know the peformance gains from the exhaust but my opinion would be that they are not much since it is just and axle back application. If you would like I can measure how high the seat is at the cars lowest setting, just let me know.

You're now limited to 12½ miles per hour with the seat in its lowest position, playing only Santana's "Low Rider" at 743 decibels.

Dude, a slick ride indeed!

Zoom...

Nice looking setup CL. Really like the side shots showing the low profile. A really sweet looking white GL!

I am the only one who has to get used to the the dual round exhaust I guess. Just not sure whether I like the effect or not, but it does look more powerful than the OEM look.

Yeah I know there are a lot of people that really like the tips on the 550 but I am not much of a fan of chrome and the car already has lot of chrome to begin with. I got the exhaust mainly to change the tip style and a little bit for the noise too.

Ok so the demand is there for a video, so I will make it happen. I will try and get it done today between football games.

How does putting the 550 in Sport or comfort modes affect the ride height with the Carlsson lowering module. Is there a setting that returns it to standard ride height? I'm really interested in this module for the reasons I stated in an earlier post.

At the same time do you mind posting the installed prices for the module and sport exhaust?
