Production Date February 15...Delivery?
So I have my production date for the GL320 as February 15, next Friday. I understand that is the completion date.
Give that Nashville is about 225 miles from Vance and guesses on when the truck will show up a the dealer?
I would bet they want to get the sale booked before the end of the month.
Thoughts?

I will be able to shed some light on your question in a week or so. My order for a 320 was assigned a VIN on January 29th (presumed date of production & completion). On February 4th, I was told "It appears that your vehicle will be here in approximately a week". I expect to hear today about delivery. As I am updated I'll post some notes.
Given you're closer to Vance than I, I guess I would expect a shorter production to delivery timeframe, but will the dealer be as focused on this level of detail? Most are not. Good luck.

Our GL was delivered to the dealer on February 8. I took possession on February 11. I found documentation in the vehicle indicating it came off the line about January 29th as the dealer had indicated.
Your dealer should be able to give you a confirmed build date given that the estimate was 02/15. I kept calling and asking for the VIN as I read somewhere the VIN is posted in the production schedule (on Netstar) as the "build date" draws near. IIRC the build date is the date the vehicle comes off the production line. If 02/15 happened, the dealer should also be able to tell you exactly what the outbound shipping date is from Vance, and what the ETA is at your dealer's location.
I made the mistake of not ordering after-market accessories until the date the vehicle arrived at my dealer's lot.

Got the call yesterday that the vehicle was released to carrier and should be here in Nashville in 24 to 48 hours. Will hopefully pick it up Friday afternoon.

Congrats on your upcoming purchase-you will love it. One recommendation, though, is to make sure your dealer installs the inline amplifier for the Ipod adapter from the new C (that's the only car they officially "make" it for right now)...had mine put in last week and it is absolutely necessary...

I think this was the part #-i'm out of town and can't get to my paperwork right now...they did it gratis, so it may not even be on the paperwork.
