Just polished with Zymol and tinted front windows

You mean you waxed with Zymol? I’m not aware that they make polish. Sorry to get technical.
You might try photographing out in the sun to show off your hard work. Those shots don’t have enough light. Maybe it’s just the lack of light and it may come down to personal preference, but the extreme amount of tire gloss to my eye seems to upstage the paint in the second pic.
Maybe the master – Jack – will share some photo tips for us mortals.

2011 E350 Cabriolet..White and Almond Mocha
Some Post Processing
I reworked his first shot to show more detail in the GL.
Exposure is the key to getting good detail. Partial shade and bright sun create havoc in any scene. Park the vehicle in either full sun or shade and set the exposure for the vehicle, not the entire scene. Dark colors look best on a cloudy day since the highlights are not blown out and detail is visible on the dark areas. Practice makes perfect (almost) so shoot a lot and learn how to fix the images with graphic software. Here is the rework:

Those are some amazing wheels GMW!
I've got a silly question for you though... did you raise the rear and lower the front? It may just be the angle of the picture, but your GL looks angled.
Also, where did that V8 badge come from? My 550 doesn't have that and I don't remember my friends having on their 450/320's either, but I could be totally wrong.

How well does the zymol prevent/hide swirls"
I use the two step treatment. After washing and drying the car I use the pre-wax cleaner then apply the zymol wax. I've found that it does hide teh swirls almost completely. I rub the wax in a bit as I apply it because it seems to give a more pure wet paint effect compared to just gently applying it on. I also found that this Zymol treatment keeps the car shining for longer than some of the more generic products I've tried before. Plus it is excellant on dark colors! I hardly ever used it on the white C280 I had before, instead preferring the Zymol liquid polish.

We might want to also ask which Zymol wax he’s using. There are quite a few and may differ quite a bit. By the way, they range from two figures up to $30,000. ![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
As his GL is new, it may be premature to know if swirls are being hidden. There simply may not be any yet.

What are your thoughts on when the 1st waxing should be done.

This is an example of rail dust. I took this pic this week of the brand new Ford PU I’m using. This stuff only gets harder to remove with time and will never simply wash off.

Depends where I'm going.
Zymol only hides the swirls. If you want to remove them and make your paint look like a solid piece of obsidian glass, try Menzerna PO106FF with an orange pad and a Porter Cable 7424! PO106FF is designed for MB ceram-coat paint and is supposedly used on the assembly line at the factory.
