Silver Cross Bars?
Does anyone have silver cross bars? The dealer lost the key to mine and they are telling me they can no longer get them in black. Just wondering what they look like (polished, brushed, matte, etc..) I would love to see pics if anyone has them. Thanks!

Bummer, I guess not. So I guess I am going to be the only one driving around with these?! I will take pictures for you all to see. Wouldn't be too bad if I had the 550 with the chrome roof rails, but black roof rails and silver cross bars...
I think I am going to really have to fight this and stick to my guns with wanting black. Why can't they just take them off a new car someone hasn't bought yet? They won't know any difference! Besides, "I" didn't lose the key, the dealer did.

They are the ones who lost the key. BTW, you will have to stand your ground if you really want Chrome roof rails since the installation for those is pretty involved and requires taking off roof liner, etc. All the best.

I left a message for the service manager taking care of my situation. I will TELL him that the only way I will accept the chrome crossbars is if he installs chrome rails as well. I am sure black ones will magically appear. I will keep you posted.

You should have received 4 keys with your crossbars. I would be happy to send you one of mine to see if it would work.

When we got home from buying the car I realized the crossbars took keys. I searched the whole car and couldn't find any so I called the dealership. The gave me some ideas of where they could be "hidden" in the car, but they were never found. When I took it in for service last week (oil leak) the service writer had some keys laying around and none worked. I would be willing to try anything if you are willing to send me one.
