This MB got stuck in a tiny bit of mud. She waited until some guy in a red truck came along ... and backed her out.

Clearly. For goodness sake, they all have the same traction system so even in the mud it should be a no brainer.
Now, had she gone AHEAD, she might've had some trouble as that was running deep and fast enough to possibly push her sideways. But I doubt it was deep enough to drown the vehicle.
When it comes to washes in Arizona (and probably elsewhere as well), just don't cross them when they're running.

09 model changes
Distronic is still offered in canada on 09 models.
Also the off road package is available on the 450 / 550.
The pricing and options are basically unchanged from 08.
Telaid and and Harman Kardan Logic7 surround sound system is option this year and not in the premium package. Do anyone know if this stereo is an upgrade from 08 models?

More shameful stuff
I was just checking out the MBUSA site (what a dummy I am!) and when looking at the vehicles, I noticed as you roll over each version of a particular model the picture of that model changes. What irked me (yes, I said "irked") was that in the GL and the ML, the picture of the 320 is noticeably smaller than for the other models. Not so the R!
It's a conspiracy, I tell you. They're all out to get us.

Well.........would have loved to put my GL with the ORP to the test in that mess! I really think it would have been an "easy out" given the the capability of the machine and the Yokohama treads I have.

Which Yokohama tires do you have? And how do you like them? Getting to the point where we need to replace the Michelin 18s that came on the GL.

yes it should be much more powerful than the old system Harman Kardon system.I read somewhere it has 660 watts now plus more plug ins media and new design.

In Jersey, at least Princeton, we had a flash flood near my residence. The GL found itself in about 6-7 inches of fast running water and mud and I was able to get out of that with no problem. Love the GL!!!!
