Veloce Performance Introduces 320 cdi tuning
We have just finished a great ECU set up for the 320 cdi engine. This includes the Blue Tech cars and trucks.
The increases are 70 hp/90 lb ft tq! You will also see a 20% increase in fuel milage!
This is a great set up and with the torque and horsepower increases we get. It really will transform your cdi! You also get all the usual Veloce Performance upgrades of improved throttle response and a broader power band.
You can either send us your ECU, or we can send you a hand held unit so that you can do the programming yourself!
The cost is $1400. Our introductory MBWorld price is $1100, and we will include fedx ground shipping. This introductory offer will run through 10/31/08.

Sounds pretty good.
Where are the dynos to back it up?
Do you any independent documentation for the improved mpg?

I believe that like any after market 're-configuration' of the OEM ECU it would void the warranty for any repair that could be traced to the new software; i.e. the whole engine and potentially the whole drivetrain warranty could be voided.
The question really should be imho: can MB easily verify that the ECU software has been changed with your product?

Another 70HP would be nice, as well as better mileage. Any input on how this is accomplished? Is it just more boost? Any thoughts on why MB doesn't do it themselves?

Anyone ... anyone ... ?
Has anyone actually done this mod who can explain A) how easy it was and B) how effective it was?
I've got to admit that the biggest thing I'd like to see is the mileage improvement - even though I've found diesel for about the same as regular nearby ($2.969/gal as of yesterday).

Personally, I'm very happy with the performance of the 320 as is, and the warranty is important to me. Maybe I'll feel differently when MB, BMW and Audi start bringing stronger turbo-diesels over.
It's a family bus, how fast does it have to be!?
