I've also been following your plight on the forums (been lurking a lot these days), and I'm glad you're finally going to get the opportunity to enjoy your GL, rather than worry about mechanical problems and dealer headaches.
Trust me, you'll love the Pewter/Mac combo if you choose to go that route. They should make it a 550 with all you've been through

Great news and good luck with the new one. I have a pewter and mac interior 450 and have been pleasantly surprised how easy it is to keep clean inside and out - it hides dirt a lot better than my E with a black interior.

I wanted the Pewter originally but of course they didn't have any on the lot and I wasn't patient enough to order
I absolutely love the color. I kinda want black interior (3 messy kids) but will be happy with a car that startsnantucketsleigh-I have only seen the Pewter in person once and absolutely loved it. I might go driving around this week and see if I can see one again before I make the final decision. I like the silver, but since I bought mine 3 other people have bought the same one in my small town. Now I want to be different

I just got a call from ISG! I had to fax a few items (lease agreement and registration) and they are going to email me the breakdown of my $$ back! They said it takes 2 weeks from signed agreement to cash in hand! Woo hoo! I better call my Walter's and tell them to get the new one clean and ready!!

I had my 2007 V8 Vantage Roadster bought back by Aston Martin due to a paint flaw after 4 months of ownership. It always pays to "advertise on forums like this" to help your message get across much faster. Of course being persistent helps too.

Congrats on the news of the buyback. I personally love the pewter/black combination as it's easy to maintain the seats and carpet. Black color hides a lot of flaws and spills. How likely is it a new 2008 MY will be found with your mix of options? Go for the 2009.

I haven't been able to find any MY 08 with what I want. I haven't heard back from the Sales Mgr. to hear what he has found. The nice thing about the 08 is the $12,000 off MSRP. Does anyone know what incentives are being offered on MY 09? I haven't had time to look (I am an RN student) and been in class the past few days. I will look around today
