Thermometer bottoms out

I expect we'll see a TSM on this soon. I noticed today that my thermometer on the GL has a limited range and bottoms out when it gets a little bit cold.

I mean really, how can a car like this not register temperatures below -40?

All tongue in cheek of course.....it's cold here.

I don't know how you all put up with those super cold temperatures in MN. It's a beautiful place in the summer, but come January, yikes!

I imagine a lot of folks don't know how I can live where I do, but oddly enough, we're supposed to be as warm as Tampa over the weekend. We've really only had one "little" snow storm (6") the entire season, which is quite odd. Golf courses are going to be packed, so hopefully a few less drivers will be on I-70 heading to the ski slopes.

Huh. I've been driving around every afternoon here with a short sleeve shirt on and the windows all open. "Driving the Benz Wide Open," I like to call it.

I simply cannot imagine. It's been a long time since there's been a winter this harsh, even for you guys! I'm originally from Buffalo and while it did get cold, yeah, the big problem was snow.

STAY INDOORS!

Stop posting such dangerous images. This is a family safe site for cryin' out loud.

It has been in mid 80s here in LA LA Land.

Stumble - great to see you taking a breather, my friend.

WOW, you got me beat by far here in W. Chicago. My CDI froze up and wouldn't start today at -21F. Needed a half hour with a hair dryer on the fuel filter to start it. Now I run a fuel additive.

I have no desire to find the bottom limits of this temp gauge...None whatsoever.
Good luck with that -40 stuff.

I was forced to keep the old girl outside yesterday. Even with -15 she started right up! No issues with folding mirrors either. She goes inside today, the wife and kids don't need to go anywhere...If I ask for a refund on my carbon offsets, will it get warmer???

That's funny. My brother works on Lotus related stuff within I IBM and was thinking of going. I'm just a game developer, playing with the Wii, Xbox360, and PS/3 are my game.

We had 3 days where the temp never climbed above zero. We're a balmy 21 right now. Suppose to get up to freezing next week. I would leave the MB outside at work for 9-10 hours per day those days. It always started up. The battery light would come on, but otherwise fine.

Excellent, what happens in Alberta is coming our way. Although we're only forecasting 30's next week.

57 forecast for Sunday (it will be warmer), then slowly back down below freezing by next weekend.

Denver broke a record today... 71 degrees.

We need moisture bad, so we're hoping for some snow storms soon.

Some of the moisture falling from our skies this morning is sort of moving in a north-easterly direction. Mayhaps Denver will be dampened by this current storm?

It's 7:10am here and 60F with light drizzle. (Actually, the thermometer in the truck said 64 at Starbucks - slightly warmer because of the coffee?)

PS Or move to Phoenix
