That sounds like a pretty frickin good deal to me. I realize there is $10,000 in incentives but it looks like you are getting another $10,000 off sticker. Go for it........

i wish it was another 10k off.

the math i used was ... 86 msrp, is 80k invoice per edmunds and other sites.
10k incentive makes it 70k before tt&l. then i factored in the 3% hold back on the total msrp which was around 2550.

70k-2550 = 67450. and at the 66k price before tt&l i'm just getting an additional 1450 off.

does that math sound correct?

Just picked up mine today...paid $63k before taxes and fees.

Also an $86k+ sticker...killer deal @ $23k off.

Good Luck!

No this was for a brand new 2009 with 44 miles on the odometer.

The demo was being sold to me for the same price and a competing dealer came in and made me the same deal on a new non-demo 2009 that they had in stock.

H993 Guy,

The $23K discount, does that included any fleet discount or trade-in? If not, that is a killer deal!!!

I have 1 more day to pull the trigger on a GL550 (Monday). There aren't much left on the GL550. I believed there are 2 (Silver & Blk) in Princeton, 2 (Black) in Ray Catena, 1 (Black) in Presitge and 1 (White) in Busch-Benzel.

I rec'd several quotes from NJ dealers. They wanted invoice less $10K plus$500 = purchase price. That was several weeks ago.

Do you mind stating which dealer you purchased from?

Thanks and good luck with your new GL.

Sorry I should have been clear on the fact that I DID get the fleet credit of $2k so without that I would have been at $65k.

It's black/black with Illum Door sills, chrome door inserts, heating pkg, heated/vent seats, trailer hitch, chrome crossbars, and rear seat entertainment.

Sticker was $86,060

Fleet is a program with MBUSA whereas select companies qualify for a discount (variable based on vehicle).

Ironically I found out about it through a friend who works for a national realtor and is also a big MB fan and owner.

Didn't realize my company was a part of the program until I went to the dealer and asked them to look into it.

Was obviously very happy to hear that we are a part of the program.

crap my company isn't on there. i do have a relative who works for delta airlines who is one it.

to get the fleet discount, the car would have to be under my relatives name right?

if so, i don't think i can do better than 65k.

Honestly don't know and I'm sure each dealer is more diligent than the other. I do know that there has been some prior abuse of this program and as a result I needed to show my biz card, paystub and ID as proof of employment...in addition to my drivers license.
