gl550 owners... how much is your insurance?

i'm using ameriprise auto and they didnt have the 09 gl550 or 08 in their system so they had to add it manually.

for 6 months it's going to cost $725.90 for the following coverage..

bodily injury
$250,000 per person/ $500,000 per accident

property damage
$100,000

collision and comprehensive deductibles both at $500

I pay $530/6mo. I have $100M/300M for bodily injury but that is only $70 a year, not really a big component. Other cov is the same as yours. I use Erie. It was not prob to add my vehicle. Insurance varies wildly by state though. I'm in Ohio.

M represents three zeros. That's the notation Erie Insurance uses on their policy statement. I remember back in my college accounting days something about using M to represent thousands. MM represents millions if I'm not mistaken. I'm sure there are some finance guys on here that can clear things up for us.

Ahh. Never seen that. It's always been "K" for thousand (i.e. representing three zeros) for me. Although in computers, K actually represents 1024 ... but I digress.

Charger, Saab & Aston
Here in suburban NY, I pay $863/ 6 months for coverage similar to what you quote but $1000 deductibles. My 09 Charger is over $1100 at about half the value, but probably a target of insurance companies...

my 6 month policy is $470 with a deductible of $500.

My liability is way lower than every else though apparently. I have $25,000/$50,000 per person/accident and $25,000 for property damage. Wondering if that's substantially too low based on everyone else's numbers. I dont think I've ever changed them on been on USAA for about 17 years (I'm 33).

new 6-month policy is $521. Worth the extra $8 per month IMO

M is 1000 in Roman numerals. I've never seen it used in that context however.

Ever been on a 10M run?

They're always called 10K.

K = kilo

kilometer = 1000 meters
kilogram = 1000 grams.

Thanks, it's good to know my insurance company hasn't been printing my statements with typos on them for the past 5 years... and that I actually remembered something from college!
