back in 07 when i bought my ml500 i got a black leather mercedes credit card holder, $25 gift certificate from sak's, and a few key chains in the mail.

so i was wondering if mercedes is still doing those small gifts or not.

 

I got the Saks gift card a few weeks later!

 

I got the gift card, a key chain and a blanket that fits nicely (well, snugly) next to the first aid kit in the back.

Plus the undying adoration of all those people I kept employed for the four seconds it took for the industry to spend the purchase price of my truck.

 

I was wondering the same thing. When I bought my '08 I got the leather CC holder, a SAKS gift card and another card with my vehicle information on it. When I got my '09 I didn't get anything. All I really wanted the the card for my wallet with all my vehicle info. I wonder if it is a dealer thing? I bought mind from two separate dealers??? Just a thought?? The blanket sure sounds nice

funny thing with the jd survey with the crisp $1 inside... if you don't fill it out, they will resend it on average 3-5 more times... each time with a new $1 for you.

i get them all the time, and refuse to fill out all those pages just for a buck. =)

 

speaking of the devil, i just got this in my email...

don't really have time to travel to vegas, so i'd gladly trade someone for something else they got for free from mercedes.

i called and spoke to 3 different reps including a manager.

they all told me i just need to have them verify the contract, and for me to sign that the reservation would be put under a different name per my request.

so hopefully that's true when it comes down to it.

just got in the mail the $25 saks gift card.

looked at my old mercedes credit card box gift from 07, and it was from mb financial for financing the vehicle through them.

didn't use mb financial this time so it makes sense to why i don't have the slim blk leather credit card holder.

I also did not finance with MB.

 

I bought my '07 in April 2007 through my credit union's buying service. I financed through MB but I never got any freebies

 

mercedes probably sent it to the credit union ;-)

you should call mercedes's customer service and ask for a freebie. just tell them you feel left out as friends and family who purchased around the same time all got freebie gifts.

and if it helps, my 07 ml500 was purchased in may 2007.

I got my $25 card about 2 weeks ago, so they are still doing it. No CC holder though.

 

got 2 free stainless steel travel mugs when car was bought at dealership, Saks gift card in mail about a month after (sold it on ebay). that's it.

 

I bought my GL320 in August 2009. The dealer gave me an MB travel mug and some heavy key fob. I "leaned on" the DM to give my kids a couple of collectible MB die-cast cars. No Saks g/c or Vegas hotel offer, and I paid cash.
