weathertech 3rd row cargoliner question

After reading most of the posts on the weathertech, I havent found my answer.

With the 3rd seats down, the cargo liner covers the whole area. But when the 3rd row seats are up where does the back part of the 3rd seat cargo liner go to?
I believe it is a 2 piece system correct? So does cargo liner stow/fit on top of the rear part of the cargo liner closest to the tailgate?
Or do you have to physically remove the back seat cargo liner part out of the car?

pictures would be of great help!

From what I understood when I was looking is that you actually had to take the piece out and store it. Someone here on the board recommended this liner instead:
http://stores.canvasback.com/-strse-...Categories.bok

I got it and absolutely love it! I covers every surface, moves with the seats, is water resistant and washable. I did get weathertech for all three rows, but did this for the rear. So happy I did.

Here are pics of mine:

Yes the WeatherTech liner is two piece. When the third seats are down you use both parts of the liner and when the third seats are up you remove that portion of the liner and put it in your garage or whatever. The portion/piece that covers the third row seats is about three times the size of the other piece so you cannot leave it in the back of the car unless you roll it up. It's a pretty good system although the above looks better to me...........

Weather tech is 1 piece guys...

They used to be 2 piece, however - the new design is now 1 piece and needs to be removed or folded back when the 3rd row seats are up. I spoke w/ a cust service person at WT and they told me that they just changed to single piece design about 6 weeks ago, no more stock on 2 piece (at least in beige).

Thanks, might go with the canvas back. Live in an apartment so storing the cargo liner would be of an issue. Although I do prefer the tray type design of the weathertech.

I'm also looking at the WeatherTech rear cargo liner for my GL and am going to order it. We had a similar product in a Lexus LX SUV previously so I'm satisfied with the quality.

I usually have the 3rd row seat folded so it'll work well.

I also bought the MB rear cargo tray and box when I picked up the car two weeks ago which works with the 3rd row seats extended, but the quality doesn't come close to what WeatherTech offers.

Storage is definitely an issue if you don't have the space for it, these are not small liners.

Just ordered all 3 rows of the weathertech liners (With Mercedes Logos-not weathertech) for $234 shipped from www.dealerfit.com . That is cheaper than straight from weathertech.
